Thanks to biogas, safely and independently on České Budějovice WWTP

Operator of the wastewater treatment plant in České Budějovice and investor ČEVAK a.s. puts into operation the new MOTORGAS MGM 430 chp unit, which replaces the original cogeneration unit that was put into operation in 1996. As a backup, the second cogeneration unit with an output of 235 kWe from 2001 remains in place. After 27 years, the replacement of the oldest unit with by a 235 kWe Waukesha engine by a new 434 kWe unit with a MAN E3268LE engine. The fuel is renewable biogas produced from sewage sludge. The produced electricity and heat are used for the purposes of the technological process, or heating of buildings. This is an extremely ecological, climate-neutral solution. MOTORGAS will also provide service assurance for both machines.
